What have those WillPower Girls been up to, you might be wondering. Well, besides inventing spaghetti brittle and hitting people up for money (thanks to everyone who’s donated!), we’ve been working on a design plan for the Greer’s basement. We don’t want to give too much away, because we’d like the makeover to be as big a surprise as possible. But we want to pique your interest so you’ll stick around and follow us all the way through this project – sneaky, eh?!
First up – the family room area. The plan is to create a space where the family can relax, hang out, watch TV, read a book. Mom Lindsay has an old arm chair that used to be her grandfather’s, so we’ll definitely incorporate it into the space :-) We also need a sofa, tables, lighting, and storage for toys, books, and electronics. Here’s our storage inspiration – lots of shelves, storage cubes, and a window seat (but minus the window).
William told us that his favourite colours are blue and white and that he loves nature. So we think these fabrics may be just what we need to inject some blue, white, and nature into the family room…
Combined with the charcoal grey laminate that the Greers already purchased and Lindsay’s favourite colour red, plus some fun nature-inspired accessories, we’re excited about how the family room design has come together :-)
Can’t ask for anything better than being able to help people out by doing something that you love :-)

This is so cool. I can't wait to see the finished product. I think William shares his colour palette with his Great Aunt Cindy :)
