Brain Cancer Awareness Week

Brain cancer doesn’t get as much attention as other forms of cancer. But every day, 27 Canadians are diagnosed with a brain tumour. The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada brings attention to brain cancer every March with Brain Awareness Week. It’s a global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. Please take a look at their web site and learn more about how you can help.

William had an MRI last week, and the results came in yesterday. Unfortunately, his brain tumour has gotten bigger, so the next step in his treatment will be chemo.

We're anxious to get the basement reno work started, but now it's taken on an even greater urgency. The Greer family will be going through a difficult stretch over the next while, and will really benefit from having a place to relax and hang out together while William goes through his treatments.

We need to raise more funds so we can purchase items that aren't being donated. We're close to raising 50% of our goal of $5,000 - just $424 more to get there. We’re hoping to reach the halfway mark by the end of this week. If you can donate and/or share our YouCaring page with your friends, we would appreciate it very much. Every little bit counts, even a dollar!
